Manon Cop<\/a>\u00a0exclusively handles sex cases at Bannister Lawyers. As part of this effort, she was asked to write a handbook on sex criminal law reform that went into effect June 1, 2022. This book is an initial guide that will walk lawyers through the new regulations. This is a handbook that discusses the new law in detail, with the necessary critical perspective here and there.<\/p>\n

Thus, crimes against sexual integrity, sexual disposition and good morals are discussed. Paying attention to the new terminology and especially the central role for the concept of \"consent,\" the most commonly known sex offenses are discussed in an article-by-article commentary.<\/p>\n

The new regulations on sex work are discussed next. The reform of sex criminal law is part of the legislature's more modern vision of reality. More specifically, the reform provides for a step-by-step decriminalization in which the possibility of legal sex work is the first step.<\/p>\n
