Hendrik Vandekerckhove

Hendrik received his Master of Laws degree from KU Leuven in 2014. In 2015, he obtained an LLM in public international law, with specialization in international criminal law, from the University of Utrecht.
Pleading Competition
While studying in the Netherlands, he also participated in the Philip C. Jessup moot court competition. As part of that contest, he was awarded the prize for best speaker, during the national finals.
Criminal Law
After completing his studies, Hendrik wrote a PhD at KU Leuven titled "International Criminal Justice and the Role of National Courts. During his doctoral career, he also mentored several teams of students as they participated in various moot court competitions. Two of those teams ended up winning the entire competition.
In October 2019, Hendrik Vandekerckhove joined the Antwerp Bar under the patronage of Mr. Jorgen Van Laer where he is primarily active within criminal law.
